]]> A boat trip is a fun activity to do with your friends and family during the summer heat in Saudi Arabia!

Here’s how to arrange a boat trip on your own:

  1. Visit the closest Coast Guard and inquire on the closest Marina or simply find one.
  2. Check if it is allowed to dive if you plan on diving
  3. Check if there’s any gear rental shop nearby. (Umluj didn’t have one)
  4. Talk to the captain on the places you want to visit; snorkeling, shallow area, mangroves, reefs, etc.
  5. Give all IDs to the coast guard to issue a permit. You will take the IDs back upon your return.
  6. Rates per hour vary in every city and according to the boat type.
  • Rabigh: 150 SAR/hour (8 Pax)
  • Umluj: 200 SAR/hour (11 Pax)
  • Jeddah: 300 SAR/hour (11 Pax)
